Puja Boro Biography From Assam Village to IndiGo Cabin Crew

Puja Boro Biography & was born in a small village called Char Duwar in Assam, India. Her childhood was marked with tragedy when her father, who worked as a driver, lost his life in a road accident. At that time, Puja was only three years old and her brother was just a few months old. Their mother, left as a single parent with no support from either her husband’s family or her own, faced the unimaginable challenge of raising two children alone.

Puja’s mother worked tirelessly in a cotton mill and shared accommodation with two unmarried women, who chose never to marry and instead dedicated their lives to supporting the family. Together, they became “three mothers” to Puja and her brother. They worked odd jobs such as preserving homemade rice wine, rearing pigs and chickens, and selling vegetables in the local market just to provide education and food for the children.

Growing up, Puja’s household had no electricity, no LPG gas, and often lacked even basic cooking oil. She would study under dim lights while her mother cooked on a wood-fired stove. Despite the extreme poverty, Puja’s mother instilled resilience and determination in her children. When Puja was admitted to a convent school after her 10th grade, she received a 50% fee concession after narrating her family’s financial hardships to the school authorities. This was a turning point in her academic journey.
