These areas were earlier part of the Patharkandi constituency, and have recently been incorporated into South Karimganj under the government’s administrative restructuring initiative.

The field inspection was led under official supervision and included the presence of engineering department officials, prominent social workers, and local residents. The event marked a significant moment for the people of the region — as many of these roads have been long-awaited community demands and part of the area’s long-cherished dream for better connectivity. 👉 Assam Jatiya Parishad expands in North Karimganj with 200 new members

The development of these roads is not merely an improvement in transportation facilities, but a new chapter in the socio-economic transformation of South Karimganj.
