Mission Basundhara 3.0 Sribhumi Landless Families Receive Digital Pattas and Allotment Letters
Guwahati, Assam: Under Mission Basundhara 3.0, land pattas, digital allotment letters, and proposal acceptance letters were formally distributed today to khilanjia landless families and various public institutions. The event was attended by senior officials, social workers, and distinguished members of the community.
The distribution ceremony was organized with the permission of District Commissioner Sribhumi, ensuring proper oversight and coordination. Present at the event were SSP Sribhumi District, Ms. Leena Dale, renowned social worker Mr. Subrata Bhattacharya, Circle Officer of Nilambazar Mr. K. Ishan Singh, Circle Officer of Badarpur Ms. Joy Christina Engamlai, among other dignitaries.
The initiative aims to provide legal and digital recognition of land ownership to families who previously had no registered land. Beneficiaries received digital pattas, allotment letters, and official acceptance letters as part of the program.
The event also marked the commencement of land settlement in previously unsurveyed villages under the SVAMITVA Scheme, ensuring that residents of these villages receive legal and digital documentation of their land rights.
Additionally, under the Forest Rights Act, 2006, land rights were granted to 538 residents of the Subansiri and Jiadhal Reserved Forests. This move is expected to enhance the social and economic security of tribal and rural families.
The distribution process was carried out in a fully transparent manner, providing immediate benefits to the beneficiaries and minimizing any risk of disputes or confusion regarding land ownership.
A second session of the program has already commenced in Guwahati, where digital pattas and allotment letters were provided to residents in and around the capital. This step highlights the state government’s broader commitment to resolving long-pending land grievances and promoting rural development.
Mission Basundhara 3.0 serves as a significant initiative for providing land rights to landless families, promoting transparency, and empowering rural communities. By formally documenting and digitizing land records, the scheme ensures that beneficiaries gain long-term legal and social security.
Officials stated that similar sessions will continue across all districts, ensuring that every eligible family receives their rightful land documentation. This initiative represents a key milestone in the state’s efforts to address historical land disputes, promote equitable development, and strengthen citizen trust in government programs.
With the formal distribution of land pattas and allotment letters, Mission Basundhara 3.0 is becoming a model for land reform and rural empowerment, setting a precedent for transparent, structured, and inclusive governance in Assam. & Also Read Name deleted from voter list What to do
